	Natural Resources Canada (NRCan): CanmetENERGY-Devon NRCan’s mandate is to develop policies and programs that enhance the contribution of the natural resources sector to the Canadian economy and improve the quality of life for all Canadians. Collaborative technical support for the Energy & Emissions Research Lab through sharing of equipment, expertise and resources.
	Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) Regulation of hydrocarbon resources in Alberta, AER Directive 60 (Upstream Petroleum Industry Flaring, Incinerating, and Venting) is current leading standard for flare regulation in Canada. Technical collaboration including customized data sharing, and expert input and information sharing.
	National Research Council Canada The National Research Council (NRC) is the Government of Canada’s premier research organization supporting industrial innovation, the advancement of knowledge and technology development, and fulfilling government mandates.
	Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) NSERC supports university students in their advanced studies, promotes and supports discovery research, and fosters innovation by encouraging Canadian companies to participate and invest in postsecondary research projects.
	Petroleum Technology Alliance of Canada (PTAC) Oil-and-gas-industry-funded association representing a broad membership base of the many small and large companies that make up Canada’s energy industry Mandate to facilitate innovation, collaborative research, and technology development, demonstration, and deployment for the Canadian hydrocarbon energy industry
	Clearstone Engineering Ltd. Canadian-based international environmental engineering firm with specific expertise in air emission assessments and air pollution control. Clearstone has extensive field measurement experience and knowledge of energy industry operations.
	Carleton University Canada’s Capital University, Carleton University is a dynamic research and teaching institution dedicated to achieving the highest standards of scholarship.
	FlareNet Network The overarching objective of NSERC FlareNet Strategic Network is to provide a quantitative understanding of flare-generated pollutant emissions critical to enabling science-based regulations, accurate pollutant inventories, understandings of climate forcing and health implications, and engineered mitigation strategies to minimize environmental impacts in the energy sector. The network integrates a diverse group of researchers capable of meeting these research challenges through ambitious, collaborative, large-scale experiments that will significantly advance the field, while training vital new highly qualified personnel (HQP) in this important area.
