Andre Dixon
Research Summer Student
Andre Dixon is a 3rd-year undergraduate Sustainable and Renewable Energy Engineering student at Carleton University. Andre began working at the Energy and Emissions Research Lab in May of 2019, designing new nozzles to test flare performance at various exit diameters, installing new screens to stabilize air flow around Carleton’s in-house flare, and running calibrations on instruments measuring carbon content in the flare exhaust.
Andre has been assisting the team create a flight-ready UAV package, capable of measuring methane emissions in the oil and gas sector.
