Dr. Conrad is a research associate with the Energy and Emissions Research Lab. He completed his Ph.D. research on black carbon emissions from gas flaring using the sky-LOSA optical measurement technique in 2020. Recently, his work has been focused on aerial detection of methane emissions in the Canadian upstream oil and gas sector, including the development and application of robust methods to characterize aerial methane detection technologies and derive provincial methane emissions inventories from aerial surveys with comprehensive consideration of uncertainties.
