Dr. Brian Crosland is a visiting Research Scientist from Natural Resources Canada’s CanmetENERGY Devon Research Centre specializing in air emissions in the upstream oil and gas industry. His research broadly covers black carbon, methane, and VOC emissions including novel measurement techniques, uncertainty analysis, emissions factor development, and the integration of science and policy. His past research included the development of a spatially-resolved black carbon diagnostic to measure instantaneous aggregate size, particle size, and volume fraction in a laboratory-scale gas flare.
