Darcy is a project engineer with the EERL managing the design and construction of FlareNet experiments investigating the effects of turbulent crosswinds on flare emissions. Now based out of Western University he previously led flare experiments on the Carleton Lab-Scale Flare while contributing to other EERL projects and participating in field measurement campaigns in Mexico, Ecuador, and Alberta. Darcy completed his M.A.Sc. in mechanical engineering with the EERL after conducting experiments measuring black carbon (BC) and gas-phase emissions from flares burning alkane-mixtures and ethylene. Prior to joining the EERL Darcy completed his B.A.Sc. in mechanical engineering at the University of British Columbia graduating with distinction in 2010.
