Jasvardan (Jay) is an M.A.Sc. candidate in the EERL working on optical diagnostics of soot particles in turbulent non-premixed flames. His experiment combines laser induced incandescence (LII) and elastic light scattering (ELS) techniques with the objective of measuring formation and growth of black carbon particles within flames of gas flares to enable more realistic emission factor models. Before coming to EERL, Jay attended McGill University and worked at the Alternate Fuel Laboratory.
