Your Learning Ecosystem
The core classes focus on experiential learning through seminar, field courses, group projects and field methods classes. Engaged students will receive a level of attention and personalized instruction that it is difficult to find in other academic programs. Faculty in Environmental Science are dedicated to support and offer encouragement, as well as mentor and challenge students.
Environmental Science students enter the program with a shared passion for science. Students take many of the same classes together. They look to each other for help, taking inspiration from each other’s successes during their time at Carleton and after they graduate. This strong sense of community leads to academic success and life-long friendships.
The Environmental Science undergraduate student room is used for research or study purposes or simply as a focal point for meeting and socializing with others in the program. This room helps to enhance the learning experience, forming a network of associations and friends
Students are encouraged to participate in the Environmental Science Student Association (ESSA). The club arranges fun events, visits, and seminars for undergraduate students in our program to enjoy.
