Soroush Javdan

Soroush Javdan is a Ph.D. student in the School of Computer Science at Carleton University. He is currently working under the supervision of Dr. Olga Baysal. Soroush’s research focuses on leveraging Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing techniques. He finished his Master of Science thesis on personalized dialogue generation, which allowed him to expand his knowledge in this field.
Currently, Soroush’s project involves utilizing Large Language Models to recommend resolved bug reports based on system observations when new issues arise. His primary objective is to reduce the computational requirements for fine-tuning existing models by applying a lightweight fine-tuning approach while maintaining optimal performance levels.
Prior to beginning his current research journey, Soroush participated in an internship with Ericsson where he focused on Online Micro-Service Based Anomaly Detection. This experience expanded his expertise in practical applications with the industry.
