What is it?
A wire transfer is the electronic transfer of money from one bank account to another, usually for payments sent outside Canada.
Why is it important?
By making payments to suppliers by wire transfer, funds are transferred quickly and securely to international bank accounts in a variety of currencies. Carleton sends wire transfers through Convera (formerly Western Union).
