Afra is a first-year graduate student at the Institute of Political Economy. Her research interests include sovereign debt, financial crises, and climate change.

Afra is currently working as a teaching assistant for Carleton University, as well as a research assistant for the Financialization Lab, focusing on the role of pension funds in the Canadian housing market.
