From stories from her community and readings from her three books, Nobody Cries at Bingo, Rose’s Run and Glass Beads, Dawn Dumont uses humour to disrupt the mainstream views of First Nations people. It is not all hardship and sadness, nor is it magical spirituality but it a deeply powerful world of strong people who continue to laugh the loudest.
Dawn Dumont is the award winning author of Nobody Cries at Bingo, Rose’s Run and Glass Beads. She is a comedian and comedy host who has been featured on CBC, APTN and was once on an episode of One Life To Live. She is a mom to a not-precocious 4 year old.
