We pursue innovation, accountability, and responsibility.

The first pillar in our strategic plan, “lead”, embraces commitment to leadership, in its broadest sense, grounded in the values of innovation, accountability, and responsibility.

Our academic programs produce leaders in diverse fields in Ottawa, in Canada and around the globe. Our world-class researchers produce and advance knowledge on crucial current world challenges, serve as public intellectuals, and advise governments on policy and process.

But we want to do more. We want to Empower Research by providing our faculty members with the required supports and recognition for them to lead in their fields. We will prioritize their success.

We want to ensure our students are equipped to lead in their chosen careers by providing comprehensive preparation for the workplace alongside the theoretical and conceptual education that we already offer.

We want to fully advance equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility by developing processes for enhancing inclusion, identifying, and removing systemic barriers, and fostering conversations.

All of this falls under our first pillar, which is a commitment to Lead.
