Welcome to Global South-CONNECT
Global South-CONNECT: Young Women and Girls with Disabilities Create Networks for Change
Global South-CONNECT is a collaborative research initiative that brings together young women and girls with disabilities from South Africa, India, and Vietnam to share experiences, build networks, and strengthen leadership for social change. Through participatory and arts-based research, the project explores how young women and girls engage with, sustain, and transform learning and activist networks across Southern contexts. It centres their lived experiences, creative practices, and community knowledge to reimagine disability, gender, and inclusion through decolonial and relational approaches.
By linking local and transnational experiences, Global South-CONNECT contributes to the growing movement for disability justice and decolonial futures – where disabled women and girls shape the research, narratives, and actions that affect their lives.
