Dr. Nandini Gosh

Nandini Ghosh is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the Institute of Development Studies Kolkata. She earned her BA in Sociology from Presidency College, MA from Calcutta University, and PhD in Social Sciences from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai (2008). Her research interests include qualitative methods, gender, marginalization, social exclusion, and social movements.
She is the author of Impaired Bodies, Gendered Lives: Everyday Realities of Disabled Women (Primus, 2016) and editor of Interrogating Disability in India: Theory and Practice (Springer, 2016). She has co-edited Pratyaha: Everyday Lifeworlds (Primus, 2015) and Caste and Gender in Contemporary India (Routledge, 2018). Her publications explore disability, gender, and policy in India, including chapters in volumes by Routledge, OUP, and others.
