Workshop Description
Knowledge synthesis, which includes systematic and scoping reviews, provides a rigorous, transparent, and reproducible method to answer a research question. Originating in the medical field, this methodology is now used in many disciplines. This workshop will familiarize students with systematic and scoping reviews and introduce the steps for conducting a knowledge synthesis. Covidence is a workflow tool to help with gathering, sorting and extracting information when conducting a knowledge synthesis. A demonstration of the tool will be provided.
