Transcription with NVivo

Friday, October 21, 2022 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am

Analyzing and sorting large amounts of unstructured text or multimedia data can be difficult. NVivo is a software package for qualitative data analysis that can help you bring order to what may seem like chaos. You can keep track of all data associated with your academic projects, code your data, create models to help organize your research, run queries on your coded data, and create charts and reports for sharing with others . . . and it’s available at Carleton! Find out more about NVivo and availability/licensing at Carleton here.

All students, faculty and staff can use the NVivo Transcription service to get automatic transcriptions of audio and video files. You can use this service either directly on the transcription server (no need to use the NVivo software) or integrated within NVivo.

Please note:

Workshop leader: Stephan Struve is a PhD candidate in Communication and a Certified NVivo Expert.

All graduate students are welcome. If you are a TA, this session counts toward voluntary paid training hours, provided that you are working as a TA in the term when the training takes place.
