Exploring Career Options Outside of Academia After Graduate School

Thinking about getting a career outside of academia once you finish graduate school? This workshop will feature two guest speakers who have alternative-to-academic careers: Kara Brisson-Boivin (Sociology, PhD), Director of Research, MediaSmarts and Sarah Rodimon (Sociology, PhD), Executive Director, Planned Parenthood Ottawa. They will speak about what they do and how they got there, as well as share practical tips and advice about career transitions for people who have graduate degrees.

This seminar is part of the Graduate Transitions Workshop Series hosted by the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. ALL graduate students, recent alumni, and post-doctoral fellows are welcome!
