Mitacs Professional Development Workshops
The Mitacs Training program offers a selection of high-quality professional development workshops. As a Carleton graduate student or postdoc, these sessions are offered to you at no charge.
Mitacs sessions provide training in key competencies such as:
- Professional & Career Fundamentals
- Interpersonal Skills
- Communication
- Leadership & Management
- Entrepreneurialism
The new Mitacs curriculum includes (1) self-paced, e-learning workshops and (2) facilitated, synchronous sessions delivered by subject-matter experts to small groups in an interactive learning environment.
The sessions are organized around course bundles such as:
- Writing and Presentation Skills
- Project and Time Management
- Communication Skills
- Leadership Skills
- Career Planning
- Networking Skills
- Reconciliation and EDI (Equity, Diversity, Inclusivity)
- R&D Management
