Amin Hosseini
Post Doctoral Fellow
Degrees: | M.A.Sc. and PhD (Carleton) |
Amin is a Post Doctoral researcher at Carleton University and an active member of GRG. He has conducted his M.Sc. research on the increase in capacity of pile foundation over time in sensitive clay. His PhD research was also focused on seismic performance of hollow and concrete filled Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) piles in clay and sand soils. The load carrying capacity and general performance of these piles have been investigated under both static loads in the filed as well as dynamic loads using a large scale 1-g shaking table tests in laboratory. As part of his PhD research, he conducted wide range of shaking table tests on FRP and conventional pile groups in fine grained and course grained soils.
