Grant Pell

Counsellor

Pronouns: He/Him

Role: Counselling for varsity athletes and general student body

Professional Designation: Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario

Education: M.Ed (Educational Counselling)

Grant provides brief therapy for a wide variety of issues to Carleton’s student body including performance issues affecting varsity athletes.

Philosophy: People are full of resources that can help with the problems they are experiencing but most do not realize it, or know how to connect with those resources. Although trained in classical behavioural styles of therapy, Grant prefers ones that help people connect, align and harmonize on the inside so that they can move in the world in a direction that is more in keeping with who they want to be, and what they would like to do in their lives.

Grant uses a blended style from many modalities, Acceptance, and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Strengths-based, Solution-Oriented Possibilities Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Classic CBT/Strengths-based CBT, and more!
