Rylee has a passionate interest in supporting improved mental well-being and assisting those experiencing challenging times in meeting their individual goals, as well as, building healthy futures. In her role, she supports both indigenous and non-indigenous student well-being by providing individual counselling. Rylee uses an approach to psychotherapy that blends contemporary theories and approaches with Indigenous ways of knowing, when appropriate. She has received training in Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She utilizes a variety of lenses and modalities to support students, depending on the presenting needs. Rylee joined Health and Counselling Services in July 2020 and has extensive experience working with a variety of needs, including trauma, anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, and school/work stress.
