Indigenous Education Council
The Indigenous Education Council (IEC) promotes, guides and oversees the implementation of policies, programs and services that support Indigenous students at Carleton University.
The Council comprises Indigenous community members, as well as Carleton faculty, staff and students. It also works closely with local Indigenous communities to foster the success of current and future Indigenous students.
The IEC meets once each term during the academic year, from September to April.
Stay informed and engaged with our ongoing efforts in Indigenous education. Our meeting minutes provide a transparent record of discussions, decisions and action items related to Indigenous programs, initiatives and partnerships. Community members, students, educators, and stakeholders are invited to review the minutes documents to stay up to date and contribute to our shared vision for Indigenous-led and informed education.
