Pedram Nojedehi

Launch Program Participant
My name is Pedram Nojedehi, and I am thrilled to join the Launch program at the Carleton Innovation Hub. I hold a Ph.D. in Building Engineering from Carleton University, where I focused on building performance and sustainable design. My research and professional career center on leveraging advanced technologies such as IoT, AI, and digital twins to drive energy efficiency, sustainability, and resilience in buildings.
As a Postdoctoral Fellow and Project Manager at Carleton University’s Building Performance Research Centre (BPRC), I lead projects focused on affordable housing, energy poverty mitigation, and climate resilience. I work closely with government agencies and research partners to devise solutions for more effective facility management in the commercial building sector, while also supporting the residential sector by developing advanced energy modeling techniques to address disparities in indoor environmental quality and energy equity across Canadian households. My work has been recognized with several awards, including the IFMA Foundation Scholarship (2023, 2022), the Indira Gandhi Memorial Fellowship, and the Gordon Shield Memorial Scholarship, reflecting my dedication to advancing sustainability and innovation in building engineering.
Through the Innovation Hub, I hope to collaborate with fellow innovators, exchange ideas, and refine strategies to drive impactful services and products for the built environment community. I’m particularly excited about the opportunity to explore interdisciplinary collaborations and gain new insights to further my mission of creating affordable, sustainable, smarter, and resilient buildings.
