Julie Cho

Julie is a third year BCom student in the Entrepreneurship concentration. She is a past Innovation Hub Winter 2023 Launch alum. During her time at Launch, she co-founded Ascend Art. Ascend Art’s mission is to create opportunities for underserved and underrepresented artists to sell their paintings on its digital platform. Ascend Art prioritizes artists facing multiple barriers to earning income and entering the traditional workforce.  

In her past role as director of University of Victoria Investment Group (UVIG), she co-led an Intro to Capital Markets seminar and networking event with speakers from Fidelity Investments. She developed corporate partnerships with BCI (BC Pension fund) and Fidelity Investments alongside UVIG’s exec team to create networking and UVIG internship opportunities across Canada.  

Outside of school and working on her venture, Julie loves to work on her paintings and get outside to hike whenever she can. She is looking forward to supporting Launch founders in reaching their venture goals, working alongside them to overcome challenges to achieve growth and execute go-to-market strategy.
