Maraki Assefa

I’m Maraki Assefa, currently in my third year at Carleton University, where I am pursuing a degree in criminology with a concentration in psychology. Growing up as the child of diplomats, my life has been marked by frequent travel and relocations to diverse places. Having experienced the challenges of being a new immigrant multiple times, I am deeply passionate about easing the transition for newcomers in Canada. Witnessing the struggles of adapting to new environments and cultures has motivated me to actively contribute to creating a smoother moving experience for others. I am grateful for the Hatch program because it is giving me the opportunity to build my business idea from the ground up and provides me with the skillset I need to become an entrepreneur.
