Shani is a graduate student in the Philanthropy & Nonprofit Management program. He received the ‘Social Innovation Fellowship’ award from the Carleton Centre for Community Innovation earlier in Winter 2023, and is also engaged in conducting a multi-country study on Justice Philanthropy, as well as co-authoring a book chapter on Philanthrocapitalism in Canada.
Shani is a problem solver and a naturally enterprising individual. Drawing on his initial education and experiences in real estate development, he is currently working with a team to launch a solution to ‘facilitate better-informed transacting in the Canadian and Global real estate sectors’.
Shani is passionate about achieving sustainability in the built environment and in his spare time enjoys listening to music, reading, playing chess and pool, and sightseeing.
