Tamimi is a driven professional with an enthusiastic interest in IT and Software Development. A Carleton University alumnus with an undergraduate degree in Communications Engineering, he kickstarted his software development career in the field of application development. He then moved on to become a Developer Advocate in the Business Intelligence and data analytics domain further honing on his data analytics skills. And now, he is making an impact in the Event Driven Architecture industry through his R&D position as Developer Advocate in the office of the CTO at Solace.
Apart from being a full time geek, Tamimi’s passion in social entrepreneurship lead him at a young age to become a Director of Partnership and Development at Connected Canadians; a non-profit organization in Ottawa, with a mission to provide free technology training and support to older adults and seniors in the community. He is also a member of the advisory committee at Kanata North Business Association (KNBA) and further feeding his passion in mentorship.
Tamimi has been involved in the tech community in Ottawa and Vancouver over the past 10 years and he currently runs his own technical consulting firm providing technology advice and strategic direction to startups and teams. Through a rigorous coaching process, he excels at bringing out the true potentials of individuals and the technology stack used to build a product.
Tamimi is currently pursuing his Professional Masters of Business Administration (PMBA) from University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
