Every day, Carleton researchers are working hard to create innovative solutions to challenging problems. Staffed by professionals with decades of industrial and commercialization experiences, Industry and Partnership services supports Carleton’s faculty and researchers in the identification, protection, and commercialization of their technology and associated Intellectual Property.
Researchers
IPS provides services that can help you realize the full potential of your intellectual properties.
Identify and Define your Intellectual Property
- Unsure if your research results are novel and inventive or have commercial potential?
- Or are you at the early stage of an idea but it is not yet clearly conceptualized? IPS can help answer your questions and explore a course of action. Please contact us to request an exploratory IP meeting.
Protect Your Intellectual Property
- You can request support for protection of IP (ex via Patent, Trademarks Copyright, or Industrial Design) by submitting a draft Intellectual Property Disclosure form to CITO. CITO will work with you to finalize the form and will evaluate the protectability and commercial potential. Support may be offered by establishing a Revenue Sharing agreement with Carleton.
