This project examines the law, politics, and consequences of safe third country agreements and broader asylum coordination mechanisms. The organizers are seeking papers that explore the legal, political, and social dimensions of these policies from diverse disciplinary and regional perspectives.
With the support of the Sallows Chair of Human Rights and the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan, a 2-day workshop will be held on October 2–3, 2026, at the University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon, Canada). Limited funding is available to support travel for selected participants.
