- Do I need to live in Ottawa or Canada to take the course?

No, participants may be located anywhere in the world. The course is fully online. The daily live discussion groups are tentatively scheduled for 9am-10am Eastern Daylight Time (Ottawa time) and 5pm-6pm EDT to accommodate participants in different time zones.
- What do I need to do to receive the certificate of completion?

To receive a certificate of completion, students must attend and engage in most of the daily live discussion sessions, and complete one or both final assignment options. For the final assignment, students will have the choice to a) present their research plan to their peers and discuss how they plan to apply what they learned in the course, and/or b) write a reflection blog post related to the course, which may be posted on the LERRN website.
- How many hours a week will I need to dedicate to the course?

Students should expect to dedicate almost full-time hours to the course during the two-week intensive.
