Ana Macouzet is a Senior Policy Advisor at OSF’s International Migration Initiative (IMI), where she leads IMI’s policy and advocacy protection work in Latin America. She is currently managing a project to promote a regional response to migration in the Central America–Mexico–U.S.–Canada corridor.
Before joining Open Society, Ana worked at the Mexican Ministry for Foreign Affairs as advisor to the deputy foreign minister and G20 Sherpa. In that capacity, she provided policy advice on Mexico’s relations with Europe, the BRICS, and non-G20 countries as well as on G20 issues like accountability and governance. She also managed global projects with think tanks, civil society organizations, the private sector, and other actors in Mexico and abroad.
Ana holds a master’s degree in global migration (with distinction) from University College London and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from El Colegio de México. She is based in London.
