Andhira Yousif Kara is the lead researcher in Kenya for the Study of RLOs in East Africa and the Middle East. She is originally from Sudan but currently lives in Kenya as a refugee. This experience has emboldened her to stand up for the rights of displaced people, including as a member of the Youth Advisory Committee for the Displaced and Refugee Youth Enabling Environment Mechanism (DREEM) project. Prior to joining the team, Andhira worked as a communication assistant at the Children Committee of the African Union in Addis Ababa. She holds a MSc in International Development from the University of Edinburgh.
