Chris has over 9 years of experience in the archives and records management profession. Chris has lead numerous research projects ranging from litigation-based archival research to Indigenous history to organizational records management history. He has been the project lead for document discovery on major multi-million dollar governmental litigation and the adoption of an electronic content management system by an educational organization.
Most recently, his role with Carleton University has offered challenges in managing the Archives & Special Collections portfolios, and team members to ensure teaching and learning on campus is supported. His research focuses on looking at archival appraisal and acquisition, and critically assessing how these processes are carried out. Specifically, he is interested in how reflexivity, and a more nuanced participatory approach can be leveraged to create more inclusive archival processes.
