Dawit Demoz is an Advisor at RAN Canada and a Program Manager at Jumpstart Refugee Talent. With extensive experience in community organizing, refugee advocacy, resettlement, and public speaking, he brings over 10 years of expertise to his role at Jumpstart, where he oversees community engagement, intake, and needs assessment activities. As a former refugee from Eritrea, Dawit is deeply passionate about refugee and forced migration issues, as well as social justice, inclusion, and equity. He holds a BA in Psychology and an MA in Development Studies from York University in Toronto. During his free time, Dawit enjoys camping, canoe tripping, playing sports, and socializing.
