The Lifelong Learning Program is pleased to announce that we are launching our LLeaP Cares initiative. In collaboration with the Technology Innovation Management program (TIM) we are collecting donations of gently used items to help students within the TIM program, many of whom are newcomers to Canada and are lacking essential household goods.

We are looking to collect donations of the following items:

  • Electric heater
  • Filtering pitcher (Brita)
  • Vacuum
  • Juicer
  • Mixer

Furniture

  • Wheeled duffle bag
  • Bed
  • Mattress*
  • Table lamp
  • Wardrobe organizer
  • Dresser*

Household Goods

  • PotsĀ  & pans
  • Coffee maker
  • Clothing (adult & children)

  • Pillows & blankets
  • Area rugs/carpets
  • Dish soap
  • Laundry detergent
  • Food items (non-perishables)
  • Dishes
  • Curtain rods and brackets

*If you are unable to drop off larger items, please email us with photos and a general location to determine whether pick up of your items can be arranged.

Lifelong Learning staff and TIM students will be available to receive donations in-person on:

  • Tuesday February 20th from 9am to 12pm
  • Wednesday February 21st from 1pm to 4pm

Items can be dropped off at Teraanga Commons entrance on Carleton Campus. For directions, visit the campus map.

Upon arriving on campus, please call 613-782-0871 or 613-482-0145 and Lifelong Learning program administrator or student volunteer will meet you.
