Academic and Research Interests: Queer migration: the experiences of LGBTQIA+ immigrants and refugees (e.g. exploring the commonalities and differences between queer and heterosexual migrants), intersection of colonialism and diaspora, Filipino labour migration, the effects of migration on the Indigenous peoples of Canada, displacement of women and children, migration experiences of disabled folks, Canadian immigration and refugee laws, integration of migrant children into Canadian society, and migration policy making.
