Description of research:

My research aims to explore the impact of COVID-19 on the roles of settlement workers serving newcomers in Ottawa during the pandemic. In learning about the impact, this study aims to inform policy and provide insights on the specific contributions and challenges faced by settlement workers and propose strategies and policies that might support settlement workers and newcomers during a future global crisis to mitigate newcomers’ vulnerability and marginalization.
