Capacity and Opportunity for Growth in the Methane Mitigation Sector
Jackson Hegland

Abstract:

To meet new government regulations, oil and gas producers in Canada will have to deploy methane mitigation technologies across the value chain and enlist the services of local businesses to support methane reduction & management activities.  This session will discuss a market survey and research conducted by the Methane Emission Leadership Alliance in early 2017 that determined there are nearly 180 companies in Canada’s methane mitigation sector currently offering viable technologies and services to support Canada’s oil and gas industry to improve their operational efficiency and environmental performance by controlling and reducing methane emissions. The presentation will also include an analysis of the jobs market growth opportunity presented by pending methane regulations.
