Project Description
Estelle’s research focuses on the volumetric additive manufacturing of liquid crystal elastomers for the design and fabrication of smart soft actuators. These 4D-printed soft structures are designed to respond dynamically to external stimuli, with the aim of developing biomedical devices that enable safer, controllable, and tailorable interactions with biological tissues. Her goal is to create compact, patient-centered, and adaptable solutions for biomedical implants, wearable devices, and prosthetics.
