Last week, Dr. Mostaço-Guidolin was in Vancouver BC, participating in the 45th Canadian Medical and Biological Engineering Conference. Besides being lucky to have nothing less than perfect sunny weather on the beautiful West Coast, the team was awarded the 1st prize for the ‘Outstanding Research Competition’, with the work titled: Visualization of Fibrillar Collagen Networks Using Label-Free Nonlinear Optical Microscopy: Deciphering the ECM Structure of 3D-Bioprinted Constructs.
This work was part of Shahad Shakir’s recently concluded Master’s in Biomedical Engineering and was done in collaboration with Dr. Murugkar from Carleton’s Physics Department and the NRC.
Congratulations, team!
