NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Awards (USRA) provide financial support to undergraduate students while they gain research work experience that complements their studies within an academic setting.
These are prestigious and competitive awards which cover 16 weeks of full-time research work during the summer. Applications are typically due in February, and are assessed based on academic record, research aptitude, and the expected quality of the training to be received.
