Carleton Community Mourns Loss of Lives in Pittsburgh

October 30, 2018

The Carleton University community shares the grief felt around the world following the tragic loss of life in a synagogue in Pittsburgh.

These atrocities are a reminder that inclusivity must win out over intolerance and that humans of all origins and creeds must stand together against hate.

The power of education has never been more important in our world if we are to sustain and foster the free civil society that all of us cherish

There is no place in the Carleton community for hate crimes and the targeting of individuals and groups.

Today as the first funerals are taking place in Pittsburgh, our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and all of those who stand together for peace in our communities.
