Carleton to Host Expert Panel on Countering Hate and Racial Supremacist Groups
Carleton University’s Department of Equity and Inclusive Communities will host the event Not in Our Space: Countering Hate and Racial Supremacist Groups – bringing together expert panelists from the Ottawa community to discuss the dynamics surrounding hate crimes in Canada, ideas on prevention and ways to support impacted communities.
When: Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019 at 5:30 p.m.
Where: Room 2017, Dunton Tower, Carleton

Members of the expert panel include Amira Elghawaby, founding board member of the Canadian Anti-Hate Network; Dillon Black, member of the National Expert Committee on Countering Radicalization to Violence; and Rawlson King, councillor for Rideau-Rockcliffe.
The panel will be moderated by Michael F. Charles, university advisor and director of the Department of Equity and Inclusive Communities.
