Carleton University Extends Support to Victims of OC Transpo Bus Crash

The Carleton University community was shocked and saddened to learn about the OC Transpo bus crash at the Westboro station late this afternoon.  The university extends its sympathies to everyone caught in this tragedy.

Officials from the City of Ottawa and Police Services confirmed that 23 people were injured, some seriously, and that sadly there are three casualties.

The university is continuing to monitor the emergency response and is prepared to support members of the Carleton community as required.

The city has established an information line for families of victims that can be reached at 1 (855) 797-8875.

Carleton employees can access the after hours Employee Assistance Program (EAP) by calling 1-(800) 668-9920.  EAP can be contacted during regular business hours at (613) 725-5676.

The flag at Carleton is being lowered as a tribute to the victims.
