Power Outage Addressed on Campus

Update 1: Campus Wide Power Outage

August 12, 2020 – 2:45 p.m.

Power has been fully restored to all campus buildings following an outage late this morning. Hydro Ottawa reports the outage was due to a breaker setting at the substation.

Cooling of campus buildings has been restored, but some areas will take a bit longer to return to normal temperatures.

Power Outage Addressed on Campus

To All Members of the Carleton Community:

Please be advised that there has been a power outage on campus due to a problem at the Hydro Ottawa substation.

Hydro Ottawa is on site and power to some buildings has been restored. The remainder should be back on line within the hour.

The community will be updated when there are more details.
