Carleton Hosts: Collective Difference with Dark Matter University

January 6, 2021

Carleton University will host a presentation called Collective Difference by New York-based designer and urbanist Justin Garrett Moore with Curry Hackett and Jennifer Low of Dark Matter University. The talk is part of a pan-Canadian lecture series called Global Perspectives presented in 2020-2021 by the 12 Canadian schools of architecture on the theme of diversity.

When: January 12, 2021 at 6:30 p.m.

All are invited to attend.

The talk is sponsored by the Azrieli School of Architecture and Urbanism and addresses how the crises of 2020 brought greater awareness to the social and environmental harm that has disproportionally affected BIPOC people globally. Those who design and shape our built environments must engage with the multiple means for addressing our collective difference. The evening will explore how the actions of designers can transform or reimagine our spaces, places and practices.
