Scarborough Charter Secretariat Open House

Earlier this year, Carleton University became home to the Scarborough Charter on Anti‑Black Racism and Black Inclusion in Canadian Higher Education. The Secretariat supports a national network of 63 signatory colleges and universities working to advance systemic change and strengthen Black inclusion across the post‑secondary sector.

When: April 15, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

From its new home at Carleton, the Secretariat will continue to convene national dialogues, support reporting and accountability, mobilize research and strengthen collaboration across the sector.

Wisdom Tettey, President and Vice-Chancellor of Carleton University and John Ariyo, Executive Director of the Scarborough Charter Secretariat, will speak during the event and be available to speak to the media following the event.
