Carleton University to Launch New Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan
Developed through a collaborative process, and reflecting the priorities in Carleton University’s Strategic Integrated Plan, the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Action Plan outlines ways to reimagine curricular and teaching practices, and makes commitments to further enhance student supports, research infrastructure, leadership development for academic and non-academic staff, organizational culture and more.
When: Tuesday, March 23 at 11 a.m.
To register for the virtual event, please visit: https://carleton.ca/edi-plan/cu_event/edi-action-plan-launch/.
The action plan acknowledges “a pervasive need for greater understanding and commitments to accessibility, equity, diversity, and inclusion,” and calls upon the campus community to “work together in ways that also demonstrate our commitment to equity and inclusion.”
Throughout the plan’s development and extensive consultations, the Equity and Inclusive Communities Advisory Group provided rich counsel and advice.
