April 1, 2021

To All Members of the Carleton Community,

Key messages:

The Province of Ontario will move into the shutdown zone of public health measures for 28 days beginning Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 12:01 a.m. While under the shutdown, everyone is required to limit contact to your household (the people you live with). Everyone should stay home and only go out for essential or necessary reasons. At Carleton, all employees are expected to continue to work remotely unless they are required to be on campus to perform work that is necessary to maintain business operations.

Additionally, Carleton is implementing the following measures:

At Carleton, pre-approved on-campus research that cannot be done remotely can continue. Some non-essential faculty and staff can continue to access their personal offices on campus if necessary and with the appropriate approval. If you are required to come to campus to perform necessary work that cannot be done remotely, you must complete the COVID-19 Daily Campus Access & Screening Form each day you plan to come to campus and enter a university building. You must also continue to wear a mask and maintain physical distancing from others.

More information regarding how the Government of Ontario’s zones and restrictions affect Carleton University can be found on our response framework website.

Thank you for all that you are doing to help limit the spread of COVID-19 within our community.

Sincerely,

Suzanne Blanchard
COVID-19 Lead on behalf of the COVID-19 Steering Committee
