Happy Holidays: What’s Open and Closed at Carleton
Carleton University will be closed for the holiday season from Sunday, Dec. 25 through Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, inclusive, and will reopen on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023.
Some facilities continue to operate during the holiday season; the following information reflects variations on this closure.
MacOdrum Library Schedule
The library will be closed from Dec. 24, 2022 to Jan. 3, 2023 and will reopen at 8 a.m. on Jan. 4, 2023.

Dining Services Schedule
All Dining Services locations will be closed from Dec. 24 to Jan. 3. Some locations will be closed earlier, and some will remain closed longer. See below for the details.
The Caf
Closed from Dec. 24 to Jan. 7, and will reopen on Jan. 8 at 4 p.m.
The Food Court
Closed from Dec. 23 to Jan. 8, and will reopen on Jan 9 at 11 a.m. (Note that the Market will be open from Jan. 4 to 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.).
Tim Hortons (University Centre)
Closed from Dec. 23 to Jan. 8, and will reopen on Jan. 9 at 7:30 a.m.
Tim Hortons (Athletics)
Closed from Dec. 24 to Jan. 3 and will reopen on Jan. 4 at 7:30 a.m.
Starbucks Pagebreak
Closed from Dec. 23 to Jan. 3, and will reopen on Jan. 4 at 8 a.m.
Starbucks (Residence Commons)
Closed from Dec. 24 to Jan. 7, and will reopen on Jan. 8 at 10 a.m.
Starbucks (University Centre)
Closed from Dec. 22 to Jan. 8, and will reopen on Jan. 9 at 8 a.m.
Catering services
Closed from Dec. 22 to Jan. 5.

Athletics Hours of Operation
Fitness Centre
From Dec. 24, 2022 to Jan. 8, 2023 the fitness centre will have the following hours:
- Dec. 24: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (women only 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.)
- Dec. 25 & 26: Closed
- Dec. 27 to 30: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (women only 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.)
- Dec. 31 & Jan. 31: Closed
- Jan. 2 to 8: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (women only 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.)
Fieldhouse Indoor Track
Fieldhouse Track access is closed between Tuesday, Dec. 6 and Tuesday, Dec. 27 inclusive.
Access to the track will vary based on rentals, please check with the Welcome Centre for availability.
Trans & Allies Fitness Hours (personal training studio)
- Dec. 27: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Dec. 30: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Jan. 3: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Jan. 6: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Pool
The pool will have reduced hours between Dec. 24 and Jan. 8, and will be closed Dec. 24 to 26, Dec. 31 & Jan. 1. The reduced schedule will posted here when available.
